About the Programmer
Babsi Loisch is an interdisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles. Using such unconventional and overlooked materials as time, relationships, and movement, she has created a practice that revolves around acknowledging the body as the simultaneous site of production, care, and labor. Loisch has studied at the University of Vienna, Glasgow School of Art, and, most recently, California Institute of the Arts. In Los Angeles, her work has been included in shows at the Box, Art in the Park, and Art Share LA.
About the Program
Join us for a series of events that explore the ways we talk about and engage in the often-private act of feeding infants and toddlers. This project will build community and conversation around lactation, first foods, labor, caretaking, and family-making.
